a component architecture based on EJB 2.1
by Kade Hansson
The following is a list of documents available on-line which relate to Mr Architecture. If you are new to Mr Architecture, and just want a broad introduction as to what it is, look at Object Transport Layer and Data Formats. If you are preparing to write your first Mr Architecture application, look at the Mr Architecture tutorial: Writing a Database Application.
Two extensions were originally proposed for Mr Architecture in 2002: Ms Architecture is an extension which uses beans to abstract away from device-dependent user interfaces, and Dr Architecture is the evolutionary replacement of the Mr Architecture container with one which supports all forms of EJB 2.1 beans. These were foreshadowed in the first discussion paper below.
The second discussion paper explains how things are today, in 2005: Ms Architecture is not yet all it is supposed to be, and Dr Architecture is stillborn (at least as a DPIWE concern.)
* Ghostscript and Ghostgum GSView do a better job of rendering the PS than Acrobat does of rendering the PDF conversion. Therefore if you plan to read these documents on your screen then you would be advised to use these tools rather than Acrobat Reader. Print quality from the PDFs is acceptable, however.
